President of Hanyang University Visits BIT

On May3rd, 2018, a delegation from Hanyang University led by President  Young Moo Lee, visited Beijing Institute of Technology(BIT). Ms.Bao Liying, Vice Chairperson of BIT Council met with the delegation in the Reception Room 133, No. 2 Administration Building.

 

Bao Liying extended a warm welcome to President Young Moo Lee and briefed the delegation on BIT’s latest progress in education, research, and featured programs in international collaboration. She said that Hanyang University is one of the leading research universities in South Korea with outstanding academic achievements in science and engineering. She hoped that the two universities strengthen the faculty and student exchanges to promote teaching and research cooperation.

 

Young Moo Lee expressed gratitude to Beijing Institute of Technology for the warm reception. He introduced the history, the characteristics, signature areas of Hanyang university and agreed to further strengthen the cooperation with BIT in the student and faculty exchange and research collaboration. He welcomed more BIT students to study at Hanyang University.

 

The two sides had discussions on the potential student exchange fields.

 

Also present at the meeting were: Dr. Ki-jeong Lee, Vice President for International Affairs, Dr. Sunghoon Jeong, Dean of College of Engineering, Dr. Chang Wook Kang, Dean of College of Engineering Sciences, Dr. In Ha Jung, Vice Dean of the College of Engineering Sciences and Ms. Hyemin Yoo, Manager, Office of International Affairs from Hanyang University. Ms. Wang Ying, Director of Office of International Students, Dr. Xi Junqiang, Associate Dean of School of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Xing Qingqing, Associate Director of Office of International Affairs and Ms. Zhang Lixia, Coordinator of Office of International Affairs attended the meeting.
